we're
all familiar with the linux on xbox project <http://xbox-linux.sourceforge.net>,
now another excellent console mod and development platform
has come to our attention, the GamePark32 ..nice name..
;) [ed]
GP32
is not only a mini PC, but a feature rich modification
and game development platform. for those wanting to
get into console development that either don't want
to pay for a proprietory dev-kit, or want more from
a handheld than the GameBoy Advance, this is an ideal
platform. it has a user-developer community freely sharing
tools and techniques with a handful of games made or
ported by users to try out.
the GP32 is an amazing handheld computer. here's some
of the features:
it has a 32bit RISC CPU, 320x240 3.5" display,
16bit 4 Channel PCM wave mixing with MIDI support [wtf?!],
USB port [for mounting on a PC], and Wireless [for multiplayer
gaming]!!
