Why beer is actually more important than food
Friday, April 21, 2006, 10:41 AM
If you don't eat, you might loose some weight, and maybe eventually die. But if you don't drink beer, you won't have a good time, and if you don't have a good time there's no point to living anyway. Hence beer is more important than food.

Online identity authorization is a bit of an issue (see recent articles on Wikipedia's need to freeze some pages); I suggest Credit Cards are going to become the default ID security of choice, not just for porn sites, but for a large proportion of 'web 2.0' sites, replacing the current preferred methhod of email account 'authorization'.

>> Who you are revolves around how much money you earn <<

However, as a web designer, I have to admit that I appreciate that a Credit Card is the easiest method for identifying a user with even a minimal degree of accuracy.

A City Free From Advertising
Wednesday, March 8, 2006, 08:06 AM - Politics
With a knowledge of the evil ruthlessness of advertising, many conscientious students change vocation during their advertising studies, unable to participate in a regime of corrupt brainwashing. The most effective method of advertising is to make consumers feel inadequate *without* the advertised product, by instilling in them a sense of inferiority to those role models depicted *with* the product. Advertising constantly harangues our sense of self esteem, eating away at the delicate balance of natural health of the psyche. Academics now wander what is causing an epidemic of depression > . The answer might be obvious if we were able to experience a City Free From mentally-destabilising Advertising.

The Art of War

China has made moves to price fix Australian mineral imports >. This isn't the first time they've broken legally binding WTO legislation >.

There's a very good reason they've been around so long.

If the entire world goes to war with China, who do you think will win?

I empathise with the Chinese, but not because I think they will lose. There are Chinese living on every continent, how would you feel annihilating your relatives?

Generation Ex
Sunday, March 5, 2006, 11:05 AM - Sex
I'm not sure quite what number of broken hearts it takes, but at some stage there's no room for any more. Perhaps it was our enthusiasm for sex, perhaps it was our jaded attitude towards marriage and lasting relationships, perhaps it was all the Ecces. At any rate, it seems Generation X has morphed into something a lot less sustainable; Generation Ex... where too many relationships with two many psychos/assholes/sluts have left us ultimately unconvinced, with no oxytocin receptors left to bother participating in the courting rituals of monogamy.

Sure we get crushes, and we all like a hot fuck, but when it comes to the commitment conversation; the soda pop is flat.

Bareback Mounting

Brokeback Mountain didn't really do it for me, mostly because of Heath Ledger's overtly forced Americanization. However, the sex scenes get an A+ for Hotness and Stylishness, well done team. More quality porn please.

[personal] Declaration of Duty of Care to [favoured] Musicians
Wednesday, February 22, 2006, 08:31 AM - Copyleft
I've had to make a new resolution. Since I'm no longer in the habit of purchasing music, (preferring instead to use the internet's bandwidth and personalization functionalities to remain wired for sound), I now have a duty of care to my favoured musicians to always make the effort to see them live. This should work for them too, if they can tour more to bigger gigs, they get the added bonus of international travel for work.

As for musicians that don't play live, the donation-based P2P model can cover them.

As far as royalty leaches go, get an actual talent.

Why Children Need Open Access to Porn
Monday, February 13, 2006, 06:49 AM - Sex
Given the power of information on the development of our personality during formative years, it is important that children receive open access to pornography to help develop their sexuality in a healthy, broad manner. Access to masculine-perspective pornography only can shape a person’s sexuality in a way which is biased towards traditional masculine sexual-fantasy stereotyped themes such as rape, male-dominance, paedophilia, etc. Open Access to a wider variety of pornographic styles will increase the likelihood of an expanded sexual psychology – one which is more broad than the typical selection ripped from father’s and elder brother’s porn collections. I advocate leaving a collection of porn, including that authored by women, around the house so that children can grow up with a more fascinating plethora of POVs, sexual themes and psychologies influencing their psyche than the statistically masculine POVs currently affecting the social majority’s sexual development.
