delire (Julian Oliver) is a New Zealand born composer, writer and software developer currently based in Melbourne, Australia. His sound-based
digital installations have appeared in several electronic arts festivals, his computer compositions have been included in many programs, radio shows,
archives and compilations, and he has presented papers and performed at many festivals throughout Europe and America.

In 1998 Oliver established the media lab selectparks and through this organisation has produced work for several international exhibitions,
archives and programs.Delire has custom built a 3D game based synthesis interface for the purpose of this tour.

Instigated from a long standing interest in reconfiguring gaming engines for digital music performance and a discontentment with standard laptop performance,
Julian will perform his kung-fu inspired audio within a virtual landscape where audio data is navigated, triggered and transformed. The game itself will be
projected during the performance so the process will be visible to the audience, creating a tactile, visible relationship between the audio
output and the real-time compositional process/game-play.

The Synaesthesia tour will be the first presentation of this interface, and the repertoire will be presented on a new album with a CD-Rom component.

snawklor
Snawklor is a project that reorders the sonic environments of D. Krasevac and N. Gray.

They create compositions exploring ideas of space and personal location by processing and re-ordering recordings of their sonic environments. Their compositions not only use the sounds around them but also mimic their perceived structures, layering them via a mixture of order and automated indeterminacy.

"It would have lived here" is their second full length release after 2002's "rushes" album avilable through www.marsupialsounds.com.

Their lastest is a rich display of acoustic ecology incorporating field recordings, miked up metallic percussion, tape debris and computer construction. Whilst remixing the world around them Snawklor have developed a unique aesthetic language which is no Windham Hill utopia but nor is it the evil edge as encontered in some of the recordings of Francisco Lopez and the like.

anthony pateras & robin fox
Robin Fox & Anthony Pateras take seemingly innocent acoustic sources and transmutate them into visceral textures and gestures through a
chaotic improvisational language and realtime processing. Known for assaulting pianos in various states of preparation and disintegration, music boxes and their voices via contact mics, max and vintage analogue technology, their sound ranges from nondescript crunchiness to post-apocalyptic clarity.

Recent performances include the Sydney Opera House supporting Otomo Yoshihide and the Sound Summit in Newcastle supporting
Kevin Blechdom. Pateras and Fox combine percussion, voice, vintage analogue technologies, cutting-edge digital technologies, pre-meditated
composition and real-time improvisation to produce a maelstrom of digital texture and gesture.

Aiming to pioneer a solid relationship between the physicality of improvisation and the timbral innovation of digital musics, the duo's meta-instrumental approach is in constant development. Presenting most of their performances in 6-channel surround, the immersive sonic experience that results is engaging, confronting, viscerally charged and entirely unique.
